The Barnsley Metropolitan Band is known throughout the Borough for its distinctive red, black and gold uniform and lively entertaining music.
The band takes on regular concerts both around the borough and further afield and every year the band go abroad to Germany and often join up with Barnsley’s Twin town of Schwabisch Gmund.
